The artist who made this walking/hiking stick has lived on the reservation all his life When hiking the mounains himself he keeps an eye out for just the right pole to work with. Than he peels it, sands it down, varnishes & buffs it until it shines. Each stick has it's own unique and different design. Each one is shaped differently and all comes to surface once the artist is finished with his work. Darrell than adds an added touch, he bores a hole into the top to add a bell and on some he'll add more. Some times Darrell will find colorful yarn or string and he'll use that to wrap around the top just as an added touch to make the stick stand out. Darrell also adds a rubber sole for grip |
